At Swan Consulting Permanent Cosmetics, we offer Fundamental training for new artists and advanced training for artists who are already working in the permanent cosmetics industry and want to improve their skills
Advanced training classes can be customized to your specific needs and are offered one on one or in small group settings. You can also choose training workshops with or without live models. Please see some basic information below to gain some insight into what to expect. But feel free to call the office or submit a contact form to receive a call back and we are happy to go over details more thoroughly with you. We also welcome you to schedule a tour of our office if it is convenient for you.

Permanent Makeup Fundamental Theory, Permanent Eyebrows, Eyeliner, and Basic Lips Training

Classes are held quarterly and dates are agreed upon before you start.

**Prior experience is not necessary to take this course. This is a beginner’s course that includes the most COMPREHENSIVE and INTENSIVE hands-on training available! It is recommended that you take an approved on-line SPCP approved bloodborne pathogens certification course before class starts. You will be required to have this certification before you can work on live models. Online courses are available. Visit www.spcp.org for approved on-line courses.

You Will Learn:

- Conducting comprehensive client consultations
- Proper set up, sanitation, and sterilization procedures per OSHA and CDC guidelines.

- Pre-care, during-care, and after-care
- All about topical anesthetics
- Eyebrow patterns
- How to tattoo eyebrows, eyeliner, and basic lips (Stretch and depth techniques)
- How to measure and pre-draw the face
- Taking proper before and after photos
- How to set up your business (marketing tips)
Day 1-4
(Focus-Permanent Makeup Fundamentals/Basics)

We will be reinforcing fundamental knowledge via powerpoint, video, and review of workbook. Also, best business practices, color theory, and mapping. We will be reviewing basic hairstroke patterns and learning how to practice at home on paper.
Day 5-8
Observation Days
You may observe an additional day if you wish.
Day 9-10
Observing and Practicing What
You Have Learned
You will practice on Latex skin and other practice mediums. These two days are scheduled within 1 month of day 8 after you have completed at least 20 homework assignments. Day 10 Final Exam.
TBS-6 live Models must be completed within 90 days of class start date.
Typically, Models are scheduled during the last 4 weeks of the semester, so you have plenty of time to practice and prepare. You can do up to 2 models per day, but you cannot do the same model for more than 1 procedure in a day. Model sessions must be scheduled, and you must consider the model’s availability and be extremely flexible with your time to ensure you are available. You are welcome to provide models, but if you cannot, we will find models for you.
**Full Lips and Winged Eyeliner are considered advanced techniques. Additional training and practice beyond this course will be needed. Follow up with your models will take place at SCPCLLC 6-8 weeks post initial procedure. You are welcome to attend so you can see your healed results and observe the touch up, but it’s not required. The touch ups will be performed by Instructor as part of the model contract. All photos and videos taken during class and model sessions will become part of your portfolio to post and advertise.
After completing your training:
On the last day of Training, you will take a 100 question Permanent Cosmetics Final Exam. You must pass this exam with a minimum score of 80% to pass the course. You must also complete 6 live models. The following procedures will be listed on your certificate if you complete a minimum of 1 live model for each subject: Permanent Eyebrows, Permanent Eyeliner, and Basic Permanent Lips. If you fail the test, you will be permitted to retake it after further study an additional 2 times.
Your Tuition Includes:
- SCPCLLC course guide, SPCP handbook and workbook, training manuals, handouts, and workbooks, a Permanent Makeup Machine with supplies, practice materials (latex skin, mannequin head, pigment, needles, gloves, wipes, disinfectants, PPE, etc), student insurance, hands-on training, printed certificate if you pass and complete, additional observations if needed within the 3 months, lite snacks, and coffee/water. Post graduate support will be available via email and/or phone for 1 full year past your 3 months of clinic access.
- **We do not certify Permanent Makeup Artists, but we do prepare you with the tools necessary to become certified through the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals Organization.
- **Please check with your local state and county regulations, as every state and county are different.
- ** It is the student’s responsibility to abide by all state and county rules and regulations and to know the governing bodies in your area.

An additional half day or full day of training can be purchased for $500/$700.00 if you want additional one-on-one practice with Melba. This day must be scheduled in advance and consecutively with our workshop.

You must have already completed a minimum of 100 hours of fundamental PMU Training to take this course and be currently certified in Bloodborne Pathogens to take a workshop. Techniques to Choose From:
You will learn one or two techniques of your choosing. Your training with me can be customized to suit your needs. Additional days can be added if you want additional practice with me or want to add additional topics.
Class hours are by appointment only. Lunch is 1 hour on your own. Light continental breakfast, coffee, water, and snacks will be provided.
- Photography, face mapping, measuring, marking, numbing, choosing the right eyebrow shape.

- Tattooing eyebrows -Hairstroke method
- Tattooing eyebrows-Powderfill/ombre method
- Tattooing eyeliner-Proper stretch for basic eyeliner and lash line enhancement
- Tattooing eyeliner-extra thick with wings
- Tattooing Lips-Basic lip liner, lip liner blend, and full lips
- Tattoo removal-using saline
After completing your training:
You will receive a training certificate reflecting the training topic(s) and number of hours spent learning.
Your Tuition Includes:
- Your tuition includes: Goodie bag, practice materials (latex skin, mannequin head, pigment, needles, gloves, wipes, disinfectants, PPE, etc), student insurance, hands-on training, printed certificate. You are welcome to bring your own machines and needles. If you do not have the ability to bring your own machine, you may use mine, but you may need time to adjust to the difference. We will be using the following needle groupings: 1rl, 9rm, 3rl, 5rl, and 5rs. A set of needles and ink will be provided to you for class, but ensure you have a supply at home for continued practice of the skills you learn.
